ALMA’s Mosaic Workshop & Balloon Glow Lawn Watch Party

This is the second time ALMA will be offering this Mosaic Workshop & Balloon Glow Watch Party. This fantastic event includes an hour and a half mosaic workshop where participants will construct and take home a personal hot air balloon mosaic using ALMA’s handmade tiles. Following the workshop, ALMA will be providing an authentic New Mexican dinner and then you will get to enjoy a beautiful view of the Balloon Glow event from the museum’s comfortable lawn, overlooking the park.  ALMA artists and apprentices have handmade hot air balloon tiles specifically for this event. Don’t miss this exciting event and opportunity to take home art and memories of Albuquerque’s famous hot air balloon event!

Tickets: $200 per person (adult)

$100 per youth (5-14)

*Parking is limited to the first 40 participants, so get your tickets and reserve a parking pass as soon as possible.

**Once they are sold out, participants will have to arrange a ride drop-off & pick up to and from the museum.

This special event is being hosted by ALMA in partnership with the City of Albuquerque and Balloon Museum of Albuquerque during Balloon Fiesta.

ALMA (Apprenticeships for Leaders in Mosaic Arts) is an Albuquerque local nonprofit arts organization that provides and creates opportunities for young artists through paid apprenticeships. Collaboratively they create public art mosaic murals constructed with handmade carved tiles.  Some of their work can be seen on the Albuquerque Convention Center, the entrance into Albuquerque’s Old Town, and other sites around the city.
